This course provides a thorough introduction to the field of electronic human resource management/development (e-HR), a combination of two major management fields that impact the competitive advantage of companies, human resources and technology. In this course, students will learn 1) the potential value and current capacity of technology in various human resource functions, 2) how to design and implement technology to maximize company's HR, 3) how to move from data to information to help the HR provide strategic value to stakeholders, and 4) what are the possible impact of emerging technology such as social media, big data and artificial intelligence on HR. This course is conducted using a combination of lectures, student presentations, hands-on practices and case studies.
